Bonnie Lefbom, DVM, Diplomate, ACVIM (Cardiology)

Dr. Bonnie Lefbom is passionate about providing state of the art veterinary cardiology for pets and deeply values the relationships she develops with pet families. Having spent several years as a primary care veterinarian prior to her specialty training, Dr. Lefbom is centered in the practical approach to patient care. She is well aware of the emotional and financial considerations involved in treating her patients and works closely with owners to achieve optimal treatment in every case. She provides continuing education lectures regularly and has several articles published in refereed journals. Dr. Lefbom’s home life is busy and fun with the Lefbom family zoo – 3 teenage children, 2 spoiled dogs, and 2 very special big orange cats. She travels to Kenya every year to work with the orphanage she supports through her 501c3, non-profit, FTKI. In her “spare” time, she loves to play almost anything – tennis, golf and volleyball are favorites along with cheering for local sports teams including her Alma Mater – the Terps! Dr. Lefbom divides her clinic time between the Hope Center for Advanced Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, VA, the Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, VA and VCA SouthPaws Veterinary Referral Center in Fairfax, VA.
